The Historic State Theater
A Mixed Use Redevelopment
A group of life-long Springfield, OH residents who hold significant memories of the State Theater, who have a passion for positively impacting the vibrancy and quality of life in downtown (and the community as a whole) has taken ownership of The State Theater and are making a significant investment in the preservation and adaptive re-use of the building for community purposes.
In addition, a group of Springfield, OH entrepreneurs who currently own and operate multimedia and bar businesses (contributing to the cultural, entertainment and artistic renaissance in our community) are making a significant operating investment in video, sound, hospitality, internet and lighting infrastructure.
These two groups are developing a building improvement plan, a long-term leasing arrangement, a creative vision and programming schedule that will bring vibrancy back to the State Theater and contribute to the growing arts and entertainment scene downtown.
